Medior Backend Engineer (with DevOps focus)

Task

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support scalable cloud and on-prem systemsTake part in architectural discussions, prototyping, and evaluating technical feasibilityOptimize, test, and continuously improve system performance and reliabilityDeploy, monitor, and operate services in cloud and on-prem environmentsTake ownership of services across their full lifecycle (development to production operations)Troubleshoot production issues across the application and infrastructure layersManage and maintain Linux-based systems (primarily RHEL environments)Work with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Grafana, Splunk) to ensure system healthSupport CI/CD processes and improve delivery pipelinesApply security best practices in both development and operations

Expectation

3+ years of experience working on mid or large sized servicesStrong programming skills in JavaEEExperience with REST APIs and distributed systemsSolid understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databasesDeep knowledge of Linux system administrationUnderstanding of cloud-based systems and infrastructure conceptsAbility to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues independentlyProactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skillsWillingness to work across development and DevOps domainsGood communication skills in English

Experience with email systems, mail servers, or related integrationsExperience with .NET 8 or modern backend frameworksFamiliarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)Experience with automation tools (Ansible or similar)Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Splunk)Knowledge of secrets management solutions (e.g. HashiCorp Vault)Frontend development experience (e.g. NextJS or similar frameworks)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
