Sr. Full Stack Engineer

We're building the world’s first AI-driven film studio and distribution platform. We have 250K+ downloads, backed by $12M from Keith Rabois at Khosla Ventures, Jeffrey Katzenberg (Founder of DreamWorks), Scott Belsky (Founder of Behance), Brian Halligan (Founder of HubSpot), and General Catalyst.

We need a senior full-stack engineer to own the consumer web apps, internal production tools, and CMS, and eventually lead the expansion into TV streaming apps!

About TrueShort

We’re using the latest technology in AI to create cinematic-level streaming content, and distributing it to our users through our mobile/web apps. We pair proprietary AI video production tools with a team of filmmakers and engineers to create binge-worthy series at a pace and cost traditional studios can't touch.

What You'll Do

• Own and develop consumer-facing web apps for TrueShort and GoodWatch - streaming, discovery, subscriptions, the full user experience

• Build and maintain the CMS that manages content distribution across our apps

• Use AI to work on internal company tools that boost our productivity & efficiency

• Work across the backend - streaming infrastructure, APIs, content delivery - you'll be close to the full pipeline

• Shape the product - our engineers at TrueShort aren't just implementers. You'll influence what we build and how.

• Work alongside talented engineers and executors to create the new Netflix.

What We're Looking For

• Strong frontend skills in React / Next.js - you should be fast and opinionated here

• React Native / Android experience is highly relevant, but not required.

• Strong backend engineering experience. Experience with AWS or similar cloud-native infrastructure is a plus.

• Experience building internal tools and dashboards - you enjoy making other teams more productive

• Comfort working across the stack when needed - backend, infra, data pipelines

• An eye for UX - you care deeply about what the user actually experiences, not just whether the code compiles

• Self-directed, fast-moving, and comfortable with ambiguity that comes from working in a startup environment

• Genuine interest and experience in AI as both a product domain and a development tool

Frontend: Next.js, React

Backend: AWS Amplify (Lambda, AppSync, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, CloudWatch)

Mobile: Swift (Native IOS). Android (React native / Kotlin)

AI tooling: Whatever works best - Claude, Cursor, Codex, you name it
