We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Construction Manager to lead the full lifecycle of a mission-critical Data Center development in Chile.
The Construction Manager will oversee all phases of construction, ensuring the successful delivery of a world-class data center aligned with global standards for safety, redundancy, quality, and operational excellence. This leader will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee subcontractors, coordinate with engineering and commissioning partners, and ensure full compliance with local regulations and corporate technical requirements.
This position plays a critical role in protecting the client’s global brand, mitigating risks, ensuring robust project controls, and delivering a high-performance facility that meets uptime and scalability expectations.
Activities might include:
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities (on-site and off-site), ensuring full compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and ESG policies.
- Manage general contractors, specialist subcontractors (MEP, structural, envelope, electrical systems), and design consultants.
- Review and approve technical documentation, including IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements, QA/QC plans, and commissioning scripts.
- Develop and execute construction strategies, master schedules, logistics plans, and cost baselines tailored to mission-critical environments
- Lead risk assessments, integrate safety by design, and ensure all construction phases meet global EHS guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience of large-scale construction management experience, with at least 8 years specifically as a construction manager in data center construcion with equivalent project budget (500M USD or above)
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are crucial, as is a thorough understanding of data center infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
