Senior Developer SAP ABAP HCM

Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP HCM Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM and ABAP development. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in HR ABAP development, Payroll processes, custom enhancements, interfaces, and SAP HCM module development. The role requires working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to design, develop, and support SAP HCM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support SAP HCM/HR ABAP solutions.
• Develop and maintain custom programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows within the SAP HCM landscape.
• Work extensively on SAP HR Infotypes and Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management, and Payroll modules.
• Analyze business requirements and provide technical solution designs.
• Develop and enhance: Reports, Interfaces, Conversion programs, enhancements, User and Customer exits, BADIs, BAPIs
• Develop and support inbound and outbound interfaces between SAP HCM and third-party applications.
• Develop payroll-related reports and custom objects.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.
• Collaborate with functional teams during requirement gathering, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

The Senior Development Engineer is an experienced professional who leads software development projects and teams. They are responsible for designing and architecting software solutions, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of software products. Senior Development Engineers also collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, manage project timelines and resources, and drive continuous improvement in software development practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivers high-complexity development or automation tasks as part of a team. Documents code. Ensures the team follows established software product engineering practices related to software development.
• Works under moderate supervision with access to assistance for work assignments not covered through established guidelines.
• Acquires solid knowledge and develops specialized skills.

• Designing, coding, and debugging applications in various software languages or tools.
• Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Testing and Maintenance:
• Performing unit testing and integration testing.
• Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes.
• Troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues. Collaboration:
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers. Documentation:
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. Research and Development:
• Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
• Conducting research to discover new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and performance. Project Management:
• Participating in project planning, including estimating timeframes and resource requirements.
• Managing tasks and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of projects. Security and Compliance:
• Ensuring software security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Implementing data protection and security measures. Customer Interaction:
• Interacting with customers or end-users to gather requirements and provide support.
• Translating customer requirements into technical specifications. Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously improving development processes and methodologies.
• Engaging in continuous learning and professional development. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree, or a significant amount of relevant experience. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Quantitative or Engineering Field preferred. Experience: 3+ years of relevant and practical experience. Special Skills:
• Programming (proficient in multiple languages or software tools)
