Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of (1) year of mechanic work experience or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training position documented on your application and or uploaded resume.

Vicksburg Maintenance Team Schedules Vicksburg Maintenance A (1Shift)

A - Team works Monday and Tuesday - 5a.m. to 5p.m. and Wednesday - 5a.m. -11a.m.

Works every other weekend Saturday and Sunday will be 5a.m. - 5p.m.

Vicksburg Maintenance B (1Shift)

B- Team works Wednesday - 11a.m. to 5p.m. and Thursday and Friday - 5a.m. - 5p.m.

Works every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 5a.m. - 5p.m.

Vicksburg Maintenance C (2Shift)

C- Team works Monday and Tuesday - 5p.m. - 5a.m. and Wednesday - 5p.m. - 11p.m.

Works every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 5p.m. -5a.m.

Vicksburg Maintenance D (2Shift)

D- Team works Wednesday - 11p.m. - 5a.m. and Thursday and Friday 5p.m. - 5a.m.

Job Description Summary

The Maintenance Generalistis responsible forperforming preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This position supports production in a fresh food manufacturing environment whilemaintainingcompliance with Tyson policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operations quickly

Complete corrective and emergency maintenance work as assigned

Perform equipment adjustments, part replacements, and repairs tomaintainoptimalperformance

Follow work orders and document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS

Assistwith equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications

Conduct inspections toidentifypotential equipment failures, safety hazards, or maintenance needs

Work closely with Production and Sanitation to coordinate maintenance activities

Support sanitation and startup processes following maintenance work

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition

Comply withall OSHA, USDA, food safety, and Tyson policies and procedures

Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe work practicesat all times

Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned

Fresh Plant Environment Expectations

Perform maintenance in raw and fresh product processing areas

Ensure all maintenance activities protect food safety and prevent contamination

Work in temperature-controlled environments with exposure to moisture, cleaning chemicals, and production equipment

Coordinate maintenance work around production schedules and sanitation windows

Skills and Competencies

Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders

Basic computer skills and ability to use CMMS systems

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands and Work Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces

Ability tolift upto50pounds with or withoutassistance

Ability to work around moving machinery, elevated platforms, and energized equipment

Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
