Ubisoft is a French video game company founded in 1986 by five brothers from a family agricultural business in Brittany, and it grew into one of the largest game publishers in Europe. It owns and develops the Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy, Just Dance and Rainbow Six franchises across a network of studios spanning France, Canada, Ukraine, Romania, Singapore and elsewhere, and it operates several of them as long-running live services. Headquartered near Paris and listed on Euronext, the company restructured in 2025 into subsidiary units with an investment from Tencent covering its largest franchises.
