Join our team in Warrington (UK) as our new Certification Project Engineer for Containment/Fire Stopping (all genders). Help us build innovative solutions and make the world safer!
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage Containment/Fire Stopping projects by analyzing customer needs, defining project scope, and establishing requirements for cost, timeline, and samples
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to understand testing processes, international standards (EN/EAD/ETAG), and support third-party certification efforts
- Communicate with clients to promote services, address technical questions, explain UL requirements, provide cost estimates, and negotiate timelines and sample needs
- Develop appropriate test programs by reviewing documentation, evaluating samples, and applying UL standards
- Identify non-compliance issues and inform clients of required changes or scope adjustments
- Coordinate complex lab activities, preparing instructions and data sheets for technicians and setting completion dates
- Travel as needed to carry out inspections, sampling activities, or the witnessing of tests
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical, or Fire Safety Engineering)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Testing, Inspection, and/or Certification within the Fire Safety industry, ideally related to Containment and Fire Stopping systems or/and in a fire containment laboratory
- Knowledge of third-party certification, EN/EAD/ETAG marking is a plus
- Strong teamwork and project management skills
- Fluent in English
