Front-End Engineer

We’re looking for a Mid-Level or Senior Front-End Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of the sports industry.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain modern web applications, in-app embedded views, embeddable plugins, and front-end integrations.

• Build functionality that communicates with backend services, third-party systems, and mobile applications.

• Work closely with Front-End and Back-End Engineers, QAs, Tech Leads, CTO, UI/UX Designers, Product Managers, and DevOps.

• Translate product and UI/UX requirements into reliable, maintainable, and scalable front-end solutions.

• Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, security, and usability.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and external services.

• Investigate and troubleshoot issues across front-end, backend, mobile, and third-party integrations.

• Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of our development practices.

• Work in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional front-end development experience, with the ability to operate at a strong Mid-Level or Senior level depending on experience and technical depth.

• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6+ knowledge.

• Solid professional experience with ReactJS and modern front-end development patterns.

• Experience with state management solutions such as Redux or similar technologies.

• Experience with React Native, or understanding of mobile application development, is considered an advantage.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with backend and third-party services.

• Good understanding of modern web architecture, browser behavior, authentication, security, and application performance.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, secure, and optimized code.

• Ability to investigate, trace, and solve problems spanning multiple applications and services.

• Good understanding of software architecture, system design principles, abstraction, and separation of concerns.

• Strong analytical, abstract-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or alternatives, and an understanding of how front-end applications interact with data-driven backend systems.

• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools to improve productivity while maintaining engineering quality and understanding the code being produced.

For Senior-Level Candidates

We would additionally expect:

• Ability to independently own complex features and technical initiatives from design to production.

• Strong architectural judgment and the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs.

• Ability to identify potential technical risks before they become problems.

• Experience contributing to code quality standards, development practices, and technical decisions.

• Ability to support and mentor less experienced engineers when needed.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the FinTech, Payments, SportsTech, or high-transaction digital product industries.

• Experience with React Native.

• Experience building embeddable widgets, SDKs, plugins, or applications integrated into third-party platforms.

• Familiarity with authentication technologies and concepts such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, or SSO.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud services.

• Experience working with monitoring and observability tools.

• Passion for learning, experimenting, and staying ahead of emerging technologies.
