Factory IT Manager

Overview

To be the stand-alone IT Manager within the Irish operations of Birdseye Pizza. This role will support multiple sites (Naas, Logistics and Longford) and functions within the Birdseye Pizza business. This role will support day to day IT issues as well as strategic planning and projects within the IT function.

Responsibilities

Full responsibility for the IT function within the Pizza SU.

· Leadership and Technology Alignment: The IT manager role is part of the company's leadership team, actively contributing to the company strategy and ensuring alignment of technology with organizational goals.

· Collaborative Alignment with Group IT Strategy: The IT Manager, as a member of the company's leadership team, works closely with group IT function leaders to ensure local alignment with group-level technology strategy.

· IT Roadmap Management: The IT Manager is responsible for crafting and overseeing the local company IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with both local operational needs and overarching group requirements. This includes coordinating with relevant stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and ensure strategic alignment with organizational objectives.

· Vendor Management: Oversee third-party service providers for networked multifunctional devices, printers, and wireless scanners, ensuring optimal performance and service delivery.

· Equipment Maintenance: Manage and configure factory pallet label printers and provide support in collaboration with suppliers to maintain functionality.

· IT Equipment Support: Maintain and support non-Wipro-built IT equipment while adhering to company guidelines for network connectivity.

· Mobile Device Management: Manage company mobile phones and serve as the primary contact with mobile service providers for efficient communication and issue resolution.

· Telephony System Management: Manage and oversee the landline and DECT phone systems, ensuring seamless operation and effective third-party support to address any issues promptly.

· Laptop/Desktop Management: Assist in PC rebuilds, reimaging, and replacements as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

· System Updates and Patching: Perform manual patching of factory PCs excluded from automatic updates, ensuring system integrity and security.

· Server Upgrades and Maintenance: Assist in planning and executing server upgrades and updates for locally hosted applications in coordination with third-party service providers.

· Point of Escalation for IT Issues: As the Site IT Manager, serve as the primary point of escalation for all unresolved IT issues, ensuring timely and professional resolution when standard procedures with our IT partner are insufficient.

· Software Testing and Support: Conduct testing of software updates for Nomad projects, including server and Windows operating system upgrades, ensuring compatibility and functionality.

· Multi-Site Support: Extend support services across both Birds Eye Pizza sites in Naas and Longford, ensuring consistent and effective IT operations.

· Critical Factory Systems Configuration: Responsible for configuring multiple critical factory systems to ensure smooth operations and efficiency.

· Backup and Disaster Recovery: Responsible for implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery processes for critical factory systems, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.

· OT/Engineering Network Configuration: Manage the configuration of the OT/Engineering network to support operational technology requirements effectively.

· Cybersecurity Oversight: Ensure the cybersecurity of the OT/Engineering network, implementing measures to safeguard against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

· Collaboration with Nomad Tech Team: Work alongside the Nomad Tech team to ensure IT services delivered to the local company meet high standards of performance and reliability.

· SLA Compliance with IT Partner: Collaborate with our IT partner, Wipro, to resolve all site issues within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), maintaining efficient IT operations.

· IT Budget Management: Manage the IT budget to ensure all expenditures are optimized for cost-effectiveness while meeting the needs of the organization.

· Production System Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Collaborate with engineering teams to analyse factory production-related systems, conducting risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate potential risks, thereby ensuring minimal production downtime.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in IT or related discipline
• Good understanding of a manufacturing environment
• ITIL knowledge would be useful.
• Knowledge of SAP would be useful.
