Senior Software Engineer (Java ,PySpark and AWS )
What success looks like in this role:
An ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java, Python, AWS Cloud, Microservices, and Data Engineering. The candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting cloud-native applications, REST APIs, event-driven services, and data processing pipelines on AWS.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java/Python-based applications and Microservices
- Build and support cloud-native solutions on AWS
- Develop REST APIs and event-driven integrations
- Design and implement Elasticsearch/OpenSearch solutions, including document indexing, upserts, and complex Bool Query-based search
- Build and optimize PySpark/Glue ETL jobs
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on EKS
- Participate in code reviews, production support, and technical discussions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Required Skills:
- Strong programming experience inJava andPython
- Hands-on experience withSpring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices
- Experience withPySpark andAWS Glue for data processing
- Strong knowledge of AWS services includingAPI Gateway, Lambda, S3, Kinesis, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and SSM
- Hands-on experience withElasticsearch/OpenSearch, including Bool Queries, document indexing/upserts, and Kibana
- Experience withPostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience withDocker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development practices
- Good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
You will be successful in this role if you have:
BA/BS degree and 7-10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
