Job Description

The System Analyst, Data role is part of IH2's EDW Enterprise Wholesale team and is responsible for A&D, building data mappings, maintain data dictionaries, support SIT, UAT and post-production support for Projects & QR items for EDW. You will take ownership of end to end projects / deliver CRs as a System Analyst and ensure delivery on schedule and in excellent quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing and understanding requirements and translating them into high-level and low-level documentation including source to target mapping
• Responsible for Building Functional Specifications, data mappings, and data dictionary that maintains the current EDW / SDM standards
• Responsible to own the entire Project / CRs from inception to production support
• Assist development teams on queries pertaining to the development & also support SIT / UAT testing
• Attend to SIT / UAT Jira’s and abide to the SLAs
• Work with production support teams as required to support production activities & post-live validations
• Must have impeccable written and oral communication skills down to the mapping documentation level
• Ensure that documentation is captured, maintained, understood by and available to business and/or IT partners
• Escalate critical technical issues and potential problems as needed to the Project Manager/ TDM to address any related issues in advance of deadlines
• Should able to communicate with users and support their queries

Key Requirements:

• Must have over 7 years related work experience.
• Extensive knowledge & experience in Teradata and SQL, Informatica PowerCenter V10+
• Experience on Database Hadoop (Hive, Impala, beeline)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle methodology
• Exposure in database tuning would be an advantage
• Exposure in Data Mapping & Modelling, Impact Assessment
• Knowledge in Python & Unix scripting would be an added advantage
