Senior Accountant (Corporate & Intercompany Accounting)

The opportunity

Unity’s Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior Accountant who will be an integral part of our team. This role will have an immediate impact on our month-end close process as well as strengthening our overall accounting processes within the organization. The candidate should have general accounting knowledge and experience in some of the following areas: intercompany, treasury, and leasing among other topics.

This is a hybrid role based in our Bangalore office. This position requires working during late evening hours from 2 PM to 11 PM (IST), with a 1-hour lunch break included. Are you available to work during these Non-Shift hours?

What you'll be doing

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform monthly P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis - Support management with company financial activities such as month, quarter and year end close
• Work with external auditors on matters relating to the annual and quarterly financial statement audit
• Identify and Partner with finance and other departments on various projects, including development and improvement of manual processes
• Business combination like Merger, Dissolution between related parties accounting experience

What we're looking for

• Basic USGAAP accounting knowledge
• Experience to handle close activities and prepare required schedules for external auditors
• GL scrutiny, Flux analysis and ability to investigate and provide reason for variance and accounting entries

• Adaptability and Proactivity: Adept at handling shifting priorities, meeting deadlines, and proactive with an eagerness to learn and try new things
• Teamwork: Ability to work with team members spread across different geographies.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Workday Financials and/or Netsuite, knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, intercompany processes and Treasury accounting.
• Strong accounting knowledge and knowledge of US GAAP.

Salary Range

1,641,000, INR -2,461,400 (INR)

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
