Position Summary:

A Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of a program or project. They work closely with team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that program goals and objectives are met. This includes tasks such as developing program plans, coordinating activities and resources, monitoring progress, and evaluating outcomes. Program coordinators also play a key role in communication and collaboration, ensuring effective coordination and implementation of program activities. Approximately 20% of regional travel throughout the state of Florida for regional presentations, advisory meetings, and conferences.

Responsibilities:

40% - Responsible for the operational and programmatic activities that meet the needs of the organization's target population and that are aligned with the organization's stated mission and strategic plan. Examples of key responsibilities include:

  • Statewide Engagement: Plan & execute regional presentations and educational initiatives throughout the state of Florida
  • Workforce Development: Oversee strategic programs designed to advance nursing workforce development, specifically supporting recruitment, retention, and optimal resource utilization.
  • Governance & Leadership: Manage and guide organizational advisory boards, committees, and specialized task forces.
  • Cross-Functional Events: Collaborate with Outreach, MarCom, & Project Management teams to design, develop, and launch industry symposiums and conferences throughout the state of Florida.

30% - Develops and disseminates communications regarding the program and answers questions. Tracks program progress, adoption, or performance and provide ongoing reports to leadership/program sponsors. Develops, implements, and directs ideas and changes for program development and improvement

15% - Partners and collaborates with key stakeholders to assess client needs and assists in the development of individualized solutions. Develops program evaluation in executive summary format following program/course completion.

10% - Collect and analyze data measuring program performance or client progress. Work closely with the FCN personnel to identify gaps in programming and implement opportunities to enhance administration of program planning. Reports and presents findings to key stakeholders and senior leadership. Ensure that all services provided follow applicable standards and regulations.

5% - Perform other duties as assigned by executive leadership.

Minimum:

Bachelor’s degree -OR- equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

  • SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
  • A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
  • (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
  • (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
  • (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
  • (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
  • Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
  • Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
