Relief Tutor - Tourism

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role
We’re looking for an experienced tourism professional to join New Zealand School of Tourism (NZST) as a Relief Tutor - Tourism.
In this role, you’ll support the delivery of our Level 3-5 Tourism and Tourism Management programmes, stepping into different classes as required. Using our existing curriculum and resources, you’ll deliver engaging learning experiences and support our ākonga to build their knowledge, confidence and skills for a career in the tourism industry.
You’ll bring your own industry experience into the classroom, sharing practical knowledge and real-world insights. Experience in flight attending or aviation would be advantageous but is not essential.
Teaching experience isn’t required. If you have strong tourism industry knowledge and a passion for helping others succeed, we’ll provide the support and tools to help you grow as an educator.

We’re looking for someone who brings:
At least four years’ travel or tourism industry experience, including two years at supervisory level.
Broad knowledge and experience across the tourism industry.
A Diploma or Degree in Tourism or a related field is advantageous.
Flight attending or aviation experience is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A genuine passion for sharing knowledge and supporting student success.
Teaching, training, coaching or mentoring experience is advantageous but not essential.
