Nuuly Associate Merchandise Planner

Role Summary

Nuuly is looking for an Associate Merchandise Planner who will maximize subscription revenue by creating a sound merchandise and assortment plan for rentals that minimizes risk, increases productivity, and support nuuly’s goals for turn and in-stock.

Role Responsibilities

• Strategic Support & Analysis: Uses planning tools and systems to assist in decision-making, interpret reporting, and communicate findings effectively.
• Business Execution & Problem-Solving: Supports business recommendations, helps resolve challenges, and applies analytical insights to improve processes.
• Process & Ownership: Tracks key metrics, collaborates with the buying team on weekly evaluations, and applies data-driven insights to enhance strategies.
• Collaboration & Communication: Builds strong working relationships with buying and planning teams, engages with senior leaders, and contributes positively to team processes.
• Growth & Development: Takes initiative in learning industry best practices, seeks mentorship, and supports team goals while developing professional skills

Role Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning in a retail environment
• Experience in start-up environment a plus
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Results oriented
• Critical-thinking
• Problem-solving skills to anticipate problems before they happen and handle them appropriately when they do
• Exceptional communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong data warehouse skills (EDW, Looker, Island Pacific)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field
