The Role
We are seeking Cloud application developers to design, develop, and maintain scalable machine learning solutions that support manufacturing and business applications. The role involves building ML pipelines, deploying models into production, developing APIs and microservices, and implementing MLOps practices across cloud and on-premises environments.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines for data processing, model training, validation, and inference.
- Develop, deploy, and support APIs and microservices that enable integration of machine learning capabilities into business applications.
- Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes to package, scale, and manage ML services.
- Accelerate deployment cycles using cloud-native ML platforms based on Kubernetes/Rancher.
- Implement MLOps best practices, including CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, testing, and automated deployment workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software developers, data scientists, and DevOps engineers to integrate ML capabilities into manufacturing processes seamlessly.
- Optimize deployed ML models for performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ML pipelines, infrastructure, application integration, and production deployments.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Need
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and a solid understanding of software engineering principles, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing and maintaining production-grade software applications and services.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud deployment technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and the model development lifecycle.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience using Python libraries to interact with SQL databases, including querying, optimization, and data updates.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
Preferred
- Prior experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, YOLO, and/or VLM models for computer vision AI/ML projects.
- Experience deploying and managing machine learning workloads in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Compensation
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Hillsboro, Oregon
Compensation Range: $72,000 - $108,000
