What we look for?
We are currently looking for aSenior Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL development, data modeling, and stakeholder collaboration to join a strategic project within the banking sector.
Required to go to the client's offices in central Madrid 3 days a week.
High english level is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Mandatory requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or SQL-heavy backend development roles.
- Expert-level SQL skills, including complex querying, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Strong experience with enterprise data modeling methodologies such as Data Vault, Dimensional Modeling, SCD, and 3NF.
- Hands-on experience building scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Experience implementing data quality controls, testing, and monitoring frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Nice to have:
- Python development experience for automation and workflow enhancement.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other BI/analytics platforms.
- Banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices.
- Experience with core banking platforms such asTemenos T24/Transact,Temenos Triple'A, or similar solutions.
