Mechanical Service Technician
At a glance:
As a Mechanical Service Technician based at our advanced automated picking solutions site in Moorebank, Sydney, you will play a critical role in keeping high-performance material handling systems operating at peak efficiency. Working on a rotating 24/7 roster, you’ll be part of a rapidly growing team using market-leading automation technology in a permanent, full-time role.
Your Impact:
Maintain, install, and repair automated material handling systems to ensure high availability and safety
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and system faults to minimise downtime
Respond to reactive service calls and proactively address issues during your shift
Analyse system performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and performance records and prepare reports for stakeholders
Support and mentor junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and best practices
Collaborate closely with the Service team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused outcomes
What makes you a great fit?
Qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
Experience working with automated or industrial systems in a maintenance or service environment
A methodical, structured approach to troubleshooting and maintenance activities
Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical teams and stakeholders
Willingness and flexibility to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
Desirable:
Familiarity with WCS, SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networks
