Role Summary

We are looking for an Application Engineer Technical Lead-I to join the Operations team, a strategic platform engineering group focused on building AI-enabled operational systems. The role involves developing AI-powered applications, dashboards, and agent-based solutions that proactively monitor environments, detect issues, improve operational efficiency, and support product teams across the ecosystem. The ideal candidate should have strong coding and problem-solving skills, hands-on exposure to GenAI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and cloud technologies such as AWS. This role offers an opportunity to work on real-world AI engineering use cases, collaborate with multiple engineering teams, and contribute to automation, monitoring, incident support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilites

1. Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrates third party products.

2. Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation.

3. Develop AI-powered applications, dashboards, build process.

4.Work with GenAI, LLMs, RAG frameworks, and AI agents.

5. Utilize AI tools such as Claude for code generation, code review, debugging, and solution design.

6.Collaborate with Product, SRE, Environment, Rapid Response, and other engineering teams.

7.Analyze issues, propose solutions, and drive implementation independently 8.Participate in CI/CD and deployment activities

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA).
• Experience building AI dashboards and operational monitoring systems
• Exposure to Agentic AI frameworks and AI-driven automation.
• DevOps exposure and cloud-native application development.
• Understanding of system observability and error-monitoring solutions.
• Ability to understand business problems and recommend suitable AI-based solutions.
• Comfortable working across multiple teams
• Analytical thinking and self-driven ownership.
• Team lead experience

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard India. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
