AutomationDelivery

The AutomationDeliveryis responsible for thedelivery of thedesign, construction and support of cutting-edge data center automation and control infrastructure. The department collaborates with Sales,DesignEngineering, Information Technology,Operational Technology,Procurement, New Site Development,Construction,Billing, Operations and Management to ensure the system continues to fulfill Vantage customer requirements. Automation Systems works closely with partner contractorsto ensurethe site specificthe best design andhelpsmanagethese partners to success by providing accurate requirements, goals, and timelines. In addition to design and construction, we are also responsible for assuring the technical requirements of the Operations department are met.

Position Overview

This position is onsite in Shackelford County, TX.

Vantage is looking for an experienced and detailed orientatedSeniorTechnical Project Managerto support and facilitate the successful completionof projects for the AutomationSystems group.Individual will be a key contributor infacilitating cross-functionalalignment with key project stakeholders forregionally assignednew and existing automation projects.

As akey contributor the position willmanage and provide technical leadership regardingautomationdesign, engineering, and construction interfacing. The ability to influence and foster consensus across teams at a regional level is critical to be successful in this role. Ahigh-levelunderstanding of system integration, project management,commissioning,and process executionis required to provideinsightful projectissue mitigation when challenges arise.

  • PrimaryAutomation Systemsteamdesign and engineeringinterfacingresource.

  • Support pre-bid planning, coordination, and execution strategies to ensure qualitydesign and engineeringdeliverables.

  • Support internalInnovation and Design Engineers teams to ensure standards and design engineering initiatives are adhered to throughout theautomationdesign process.

  • Leadsautomationprojectdesignactivities, which includespartnerships and collaborationwith:

  • (EOR) Engineer of record andDesignSystems Integration teams.

  • Automation constructionteamsregardingautomationscope ofworkdevelopment,automation design deliverables, and factory acceptance testing.

  • SupportSales, Design Engineering, andServicesto develop project requirementsbased on market demands or customerrequirements.

  • Provide technical leadershipregardingautomation issue mitigation to supportdelivery and commissioningschedulesthroughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leadsautomationdesign and engineeringprojects that align with business vision, strategy, and deployment within the company.

  • Assist in the definition ofautomationproject scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Manage multipleautomationtechnicalproject scopes, schedules,andstakeholder relationsacrosstheregions.

  • Drive all aspects ofautomationactivities related to newand existingproject developmentthrougheach of thedesign,engineeringandconstructionphases.

  • Manage automation technicalresponsibilities with the Engineer of Record andDesignand ControlsSystems Integrators.

  • Manage automation design deliverable package coordination and updates withallapplicableautomationconstruction partners.

  • Ensure adherence to theNorth Americanstandardsby theEngineer of Records andDesign Systems Integrator.

  • Provideautomation systemtechnicaloversight andissuemitigationthroughoutdesign, engineering,and commissioning activities.

  • Coordinate and supportapplicableFWT (Factory Witness Tests), andsoftware bench testingand on-site point tofor various projects.

  • Provide remote or onsiteprojectand vendorsupportensuring a successful design andengineeringdelivery.

  • Manage automation design, engineering, and programming/software deliverables(Specifications, IFC’s, SOO’s,PLC, SCADA,etc..),ensuringcritical deliverymilestones are maintainedand in alignment withthe master construction schedule.Provideand implementautomation technical quality and accuracy control measurefor projects.

  • Lead and participate inweeklyand/or dailyautomation engineeringmeetingsfor each applicableregional project.

Duties

  • Lead regional Automation projectdesign, engineering, and programming/software delivery.

  • Supportin developingand managingautomationdesign, and engineeringstrategies.

  • Developtechnicaltask prioritization and scheduling for allocating resources and project timelines.

  • Support and coordinateautomationdesign and engineering requirements withinternal and external partners.

  • Evaluates progress on project(s) andtrackschangestoschedule.

  • Develops and maintains standard communication and technical documentation forAutomation aspects ofproject implementation (RFIs, Transmittals, Submittals, Change Requests, Project Plans, Status Updates, etc.)

  • Additional duties as assigned by manager

Job Requirements

  • 6-7+ yearsof experience in BuildingManagementSystem(BMS)design,integration,commissioning,or technicalleadership.

  • BS in related Engineering or Construction Management fieldspreferred butnot required based upon experience level.

  • Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings, sketches and specifications.

  • PLC / SCADAApplicationEngineeringexperiencepreferred.

  • Allen-Bradley and Ignitionexperiencehighlypreferred.

  • 6-7+ yearsData CenterorMission Criticalproject experience preferred.

  • Proven success in project management with PMP certification preferred, but not required.

  • Experience ininstrumentation and controls (I&C) preferred.

  • Experience with Procoreand CxAlloy preferred.

  • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint

  • Travel required is expected to be25%but may increase over time as the business evolves.
