Position Overview
Vantage is seekingan IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Global Infrastructure Team, supporting critical enterprise infrastructure across EMEA and the wider global organisation.
This role combines hands-ontechnicalsupport, project delivery, and continuous improvementacross VMware, Microsoft Azure, Linux, Windows Server, networking, and storage environments.
Asa key member of the team,you willdesign, deploy,maintain, andoptimisethecore systemsthat underpinourbusiness operations.
Working under the guidance of the IT Infrastructure Manager,you will helpdeliver reliable, secure, and scalable network, compute, storage, and virtualization solutions.
You willuse yourtechnicalexpertiseto resolve complex issues,contributetoinfrastructure projects and work closely with IT peers and business stakeholdersto ensure oursystems meet organisational standards for performance, availability, and security.
In addition todesigning and implementing infrastructure solutions, analysingand troubleshootingsystems, managing upgrades and enhancements, and supporting the successful execution of infrastructure projects, you willprovide technical guidance to junior engineers, contribute to project planning, and ensurework is delivered inlinewith company policies, ITIL-based processes, and agreed service levels.
By staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, particularly in Linux administration, Microsoft 365, automation, and infrastructure management,you will helpdrive innovation and the ongoing evolution ofVantage’s globalIT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Implement, configure, andmaintainenterprise IT infrastructureplatforms including:VMware, Microsoft Azure, Linux, Servers,StoragePlatforms,Networking, Cloud Services
Support infrastructure operations across multiple locations and customer-facing hybridenvironments.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
Support upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Collaboratewith IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
Follow security, compliance, and governance requirements
Participate in an on-call support rota whenrequired.
Travel required is expected to be 5%, but may be higherat timesdepending on infrastructure support and project needs.
Required Skill& Experience
Fluent Englishskills(written and spoken)
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology,Computer Science,Engineering,related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
A minimum of 3-5years of experience in: - Infrastructure Engineering - Systems Administration - Technical Support
Strong knowledge of: - Compute and server platforms - Storage technologies - Virtualisation-VMware - Cloud platforms- MicrosoftAzure - Networking
Strong problem-solving,troubleshootingandroot-cause analysisskills.
Ability to collaborateand communicateeffectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a global environment across different regions
