We are now looking for a new Category Management Direct Senior Analyst - Sourcing - Localization and DVT to join our dynamic team in Thane India!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Category Manager Direct Senior Analyst - Sourcing - Localization and DVT at Vertiv India leads Raw Material Localization of Thermal Management Commodities with specializing in Mechanical parts. The role focuses on Local supply chain establishment, including material availability, inventory turnover, lead time reduction, and supplier development to enhance financial performance and customer delivery. Additionally, the candidate supports plants with material shortages. Reporting to the Manager - Strategic Sourcing. Electronics, this position is key to Vertiv India’s overall success.

Roles & Responsibilities

Execution of Localization of Mechanical & Electrical parts for Thermal Business with following sub-tasks -

• Collect Material shortage data based on Plant MRP, co-ordination with Buyers for critical shortages.
• Local Suppliers and Manufacturers identification, Datasheets comparison against original Imported parts.
• Local samples development, co-ordination with Supplier to support DVT testing, Supply Chain establishment and component cost optimization.
• Internal CFT collaboration with Engineering / Product / Procurement / Sales & Services.
• Multi-sourcing Single Sourced items.
• Generate Cost Saving ideas to support business.
• Regularization of new localized components into Product database.

Job Specifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in Thermal Engineering - Mechanical.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Smartsheet & collaboration tools.

• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and Suppliers.
