Your mission

At VIER, we are building the next generation of Conversational AI and Generative AI, transforming the way customer service is delivered. Within our RTMP team, we develop state-of-the-art voice technologies and seamlessly connect them with our products. Our work spans the entire technology stack, from low-level DSP hardware and real-time media processing to high-level Voicebot platforms that handle hundreds of thousands of conversations every month. We develop our Cognitive Voice Gateway, the central platform that connects our telephony systems with Conversational AI solutions from external providers and own products. To deliver the best possible customer experience, we collaborate closely with technology partners, customers, and our sales teams. We continuously evaluate and adopt modern technologies to keep our platform at the forefront of innovation.

• You design, develop, and continuously improve our software solutions.
• You analyze business and technical requirements and turn them into scalable, sustainable system solutions.
• You develop and implement backend applications, services, modules, and APIs.
• You maintain, optimize, and continuously improve existing software components.
• You analyze production issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement sustainable solutions.
• You perform code reviews and help ensure high software quality and contribute to architectural decisions and technical concepts, you create and maintain technical documentation.
• You plan and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
• You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners on exciting projects.
• You support the rollout, operation, and continuous enhancement of new software solutions.
• You actively contribute ideas to improve our engineering practices and development processes.

Your skills

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, a comparable qualification or have at least three years of professional experience in software development.
• Scrum and Kanban are part of your daily work.
• You have experience with unit testing and understand why it is essential for delivering high-quality software.
• You take pride in writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• You are proficient in at least one JVM-based programming language.
• You have hands-on experience working with container technologies.
• You have a strong command of written and spoken English.

• German skills at B1 level or equivalent.
• Initial experience with VoIP technologies.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and microservice architectures.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Initial programming experience with Kotlin.
