UAV Communication Engineer - Wireless Networking | MANET | SDR | Drone Swarms

About the Role :

We are looking for a UAV Communication Engineer to design and develop communication systems for autonomous drone platforms and swarm networking applications. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about wireless networking, distributed systems, embedded communication, and autonomous robotics.

Responsibilities :

- Design and implement communication protocols for UAV platforms.

- Develop and optimize Wireless Mesh Networks and MANET architectures.

- Build communication systems using Software Defined Radio (SDR).

- Improve communication latency, throughput, packet delivery, and reliability.

- Develop networking solutions for distributed autonomous drone operations.

- Integrate communication modules with embedded and robotics platforms.

- Perform communication testing and troubleshooting in real-world deployments.

- Collaborate with AI, robotics, and embedded engineering teams.

Required Skills :

- 2-3 years of professional experience.

- Minimum 1 year of networking experience.

- Strong understanding of : Wireless Networking, TCP/IP, UDP, Routing Protocols.

- Experience in one or more of the following : Wireless Mesh Networks, MANET, UAV Communication, Ad Hoc Networks, Embedded Wireless Systems.

- Strong programming skills in C/C++ or Python.

- Comfortable working in Linux environments.

Good to Have :

- Software Defined Radio (SDR), PX4 / ArduPilot, MAVLink, ROS / ROS2, RF Communication, Embedded Linux, Wireless Sensor Networks, Drone Swarm Networking, Avionics Communication.

Education :

- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Instrumentation, or related disciplines.
