Job Description
Summary
The Credit Cycle team manages credit card statements and invoice data across the platform, including amounts, statuses, charges, and cycle events. In addition to ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of this data, the team develops new features and workflows that enhance the end-customer experience. In a distributed, cloud-native environment, we design and maintain secure and reliable systems that support high-volume global operations.
What You'll Do
Write, modify, and review high-quality, testable, and efficient code across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
Integrate systems via APIs, messaging queues, and databases.
Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with a strong focus on automation.
Maintain CI pipelines to run tests automatically upon code commits.
Debug and perform root cause analysis on issues, using AI-driven tools where applicable, and enforce code quality gates through reviews and static analysis.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; package and deploy applications to various environments using containerization and orchestration tools.
Monitor applications in production using observability tools; investigate incidents, analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
Optimize code for performance, cost efficiency, and maintainability.
Apply secure coding practices, manage secrets properly, validate inputs, and ensure authentication/authorization is robust.
Comply with regulatory standards and maintain documentation for audits.
This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote
Qualifications
For this role, you must be based in Brazil
Language Skills
Proficiency in English at B2 level or above (Upper-Intermediate)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree or at least 3 years of work experience.
Experience with Java and/or Golang.
Technical Skills:
+3 years of experience with Java and/or Golang.
Experience with Financial Industry or Payments
Skilled in Java and adaptable to other languages like Golang.
Advanced Git user resolves team version control issues.
Thorough code reviews focusing on cross-domain quality.
Writes and validates unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests.
Experienced with Swagger, flow diagrams, and API documentation, supports DEVEX and external publishing.
Proficient with Terraform, Argo, Jenkins, Codefresh for infrastructure and deployment understand related integrations (or correlated tools for CI/CD).
Deep product knowledge, active in feature planning and impact analysis.
Strong relational database design and non-relational strategy, effective data modeling.
Proficient in AWS, applying optimal performance techniques.
Designs scalable microservices and evaluates architectural options.
Identifies and resolves distributed systems issues for improved reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work with critical systems is a differential.
Understanding of observability practices (monitoring, tracing, alerting).
