  • Oversee global indirect tax compliance processes, ensuring accurate and timely filing, reporting, and remittance obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance compliance effectiveness and scalability.
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure proper indirect tax accounting and reporting.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks supporting indirect tax compliance.

Business Partnership

  • Advise business leaders on indirect tax consequences of existing and emerging payment products, digital services, platform offerings, and cross-border transactions.
  • Support commercial, legal, and finance teams during contract reviews and structuring discussions.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to address local indirect tax requirements while maintaining global consistency.

Tax Controversy and Regulatory Engagement

  • Lead management of indirect tax audits, examinations, inquiries, and disputes globally.
  • Coordinate responses to tax authorities and external advisors.
  • Assess regulatory proposals and legislative developments that could impact Visa's business model.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risk and support business continuity in an evolving regulatory environment.

People Leadership

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Build organizational capability and ensure appropriate succession planning and talent development.

Tax Technology and Transformation

  • Champion tax technology modernization initiatives, including indirect tax automation, data analytics, and systems integration.
  • Partner with Finance Technology and Enterprise Systems teams to improve tax determination, reporting, and data quality capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize indirect tax processes globally.
