Role Details

Visy Logistics is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our VIC & SA Intermodal business. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, customer outcomes, financial performance and business growth across our transport and logistics network.

Reporting into senior leadership, you'll take ownership of day-to-day operations while developing and executing strategies that improve performance, strengthen customer relationships and support the continued growth of the business.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the operational and financial performance of the VIC & SA Intermodal business
• Manage fleet, labour, subcontractors and service delivery outcomes
• Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting and P&L performance
• Drive safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) standards
• Build and develop high-performing operational teams
• Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Support the growth and expansion of the Intermodal business

What You'll Bring:

• Proven leadership experience within transport, logistics, intermodal, containerised freight, wharf cartage or port operations
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L performance
• Experience leading large operational teams in a fast-paced environment
• Sound understanding of CoR, fatigue management, safety and compliance requirements
• Exposure to import/export logistics, container movements or intermodal operations
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong customer relationships
• A hands-on leadership style with a focus on accountability, safety and performance
