About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle BRM Billing Operations professional to take ownership of L2 application operations for Oracle Billing and Revenue Management services. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of critical telecom billing functions including rating, charging, bill-cycle execution, invoicing, payments, adjustments, collections and revenue assurance processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in incident management, billing assurance, operational automation, stakeholder collaboration and continual service improvement while ensuring SLA and KPI commitments are consistently achieved.
What you will do
- Own the operational health, availability, performance and supportability of Oracle BRM billing services.
- Act as the L2 technical escalation point for billing, charging, invoicing, payment, adjustment, discount, collection and dunning issues.
- Troubleshoot BRM processes, utilities, opcodes, batch jobs, interfaces, pipelines, queues and database-related failures.
- Coordinate billing calendars, pre-bill checks, bill-run execution, invoice generation, post-bill validation and exception management.
- Monitor CDR and event processing, suspense and recycle management, failed bill processing and downstream integrations.
- Perform reconciliations across CRM, mediation, middleware, BRM, payment and reporting systems to ensure billing accuracy and revenue protection. Lead technical investigations and service restoration for high-priority incidents while coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions and operational improvements for recurring issues.
- Automate operational activities using Shell scripting, SQL/PLSQL, APIs and approved orchestratio platforms.
- Enhance monitoring, observability, proactive alerting and operational dashboards to improve service resilience.
- Apply approved AI and AIOps capabilities to support anomaly detection, incident triage, event analysis and operational efficiency improvements.Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, audit records and knowledge repositories.
Who you are
- Experienced in Telecom IT, BSS or enterprise application support with hands-on Oracle BRM production support responsibility.
- Strong understanding of telecom billing, rating, charging, invoicing, payments, adjustments, collections, taxation and dunning processes.
- Skilled in Oracle BRM architecture, administration and operational troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux operations, Shell scripting, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experienced in analysing application and database logs, batch processing and performance issues.
- Familiar with Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request Management within an ITIL-driven environment.
- Knowledge of BRM integrations including CRM, mediation, payment, reporting and middleware platforms.
- Exposure to tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana, Datadog, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana or similar observability solutions is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. ITIL and Oracle BRM certifications are desirable. Strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management and communication skills.
