Who will you be working with?

You will work with a broad range of talented individuals to deliver projects in a timely manner, according to schedule, and on or below budget at our Thermal Transfer Division business unit. You’ll work alongside Engineering, Quality, Finance and Production personnel and partner with professionals across multiple departments.

As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions group Procurement team you will be responsible for the coordination of activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies. This position is based at our Duquesne, PA location.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of Wabtec Components LLC, Thermal Transfer Group and reporting directly to the Procurement Leader, you will collaborate closely with finance, engineering, operations, and suppliers, as well as corporate sourcing leaders, to ensure efficient execution of purchasing transactions and vendor management activities. You will play a critical role in enabling efficient and compliant procurement operations by ensuring timely and accurate conversion of purchase requisitions into purchase orders, supporting supplier onboarding and data accuracy, driving process consistency and automation, and delivering high-quality service

  • Ability to cooperate and interpersonal skills to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Motivation to provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • The ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and technical specifications

What will your typical day look like?

  • Assist in/Lead collection and analysis of Thermal Transfer purchases, usage patterns, and supplier data
  • Assist in gathering internal customer requirements and ensuring the needs of internal customers are met
  • Research/benchmark supply base and industry/marketplace for sourcing materials and/or services.
  • Assist in estimating the cost saving benefits for sourcing opportunities and development of sourcing strategies
  • Prepare purchase orders and reviews requisitions for goods and services ensuring conformance within company policy
  • Maintains computerized procurement records, such as items/services purchased, cost, lead time, accounting term, delivery arrangements, comments, etc.
  • Follow up with related departments to ensure acceptable material is received and vendors are paid within terms of purchase order,
  • Handles invoice referrals and expedite delivery of goods to users.

The salary rate for this role is currently $55900-74100 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
