Weekday is an Indian recruitment company that sources software engineers through referrals from other engineers rather than through job advertisements or agency databases. Its model pays working engineers to vouch for former colleagues they rate, turning informal knowledge about who is genuinely good into a searchable candidate pool that companies can hire from. Based in Bengaluru and backed by Y Combinator, the platform has layered AI screening and outbound sourcing on top of that referral network, and sells to startups and technology companies hiring in the Indian market.

We are looking for an experienced Bilingual Security Tool Administrator to manage and support a broad range of enterprise security platforms across threat and vulnerability management, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), web filtering, URL management, and cryptographic key management.

The role requires strong hands-on administration experience across multiple security tools, a proactive approach to incident and change management, and the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders in both Japanese and English. You will be responsible for maintaining security tool configurations, supporting operational requests, managing upgrades, responding to incidents, and ensuring security services operate reliably and in line with defined SLAs and compliance requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer and maintain enterprise security tools covering vulnerability management, DLP, EDR, web filtering, URL management, and key management.
  • Register and manage vulnerability scan configurations and coordinate firewall blocking requests.
  • Manage security-agent version upgrades and assess the impact of ServiceNow patch and change activities.
  • Administer Zscaler web filtering, including URL categorisation, revocation, extension, and deletion of URLs based on lifecycle requirements.
  • Manage database encryption activities and cryptographic key operations within key management systems.
  • Administer Proofpoint DLP, including block/allow list updates, email hold management, and security-policy parameter changes.
  • Manage CrowdStrike Falcon EDR, including client verification, server deployment, image upgrades, endpoint management, and ongoing platform administration.
  • Perform AIS verification and coordinate terminal version upgrades across managed endpoints.
  • Manage ADFS certificate renewals and coordinate version upgrades for suppliers and group companies.
  • Prepare and submit incident reports for managed security platforms and services.
  • Respond to technical and operational queries related to security tool configurations and administration.
  • Participate in P1 Major Incident Management (MIM) conference bridges and support incident resolution activities.
  • Follow established operational procedures, SLAs, change controls, and security compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to resolve security-tool-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation, configuration records, and activity reports.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in security tool administration, security operations, or a related cybersecurity function.
  • Strong experience administering CrowdStrike Falcon / EDR platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Proofpoint DLP administration and policy management.
  • Good understanding of URL lifecycle management, including categorisation, revocation, expiry, and related configuration activities.
  • Experience with AIS verification and terminal/endpoint version management.
  • Knowledge of Key Management Systems (KMS), database encryption, and cryptographic key operations.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and firewall rule-management processes.
  • Practical experience with ServiceNow change, patch, and incident-management workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting, incident-management, and operational problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise security environments and defined SLAs, compliance standards, and operational procedures.
  • Knowledge of SIEM platforms and alert triage is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AWS environments and Golden Image management is preferred.
  • Certifications such as CrowdStrike CCFA, CompTIA Security+, or ITIL Foundation are desirable.
  • Japanese proficiency at JLPT N3 level or above is preferred/required for effective communication with Japanese stakeholders.
  • Strong business-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams, manage multiple priorities, and participate in major incident activities when required.
  • High attention to detail, ownership, reliability, and a proactive approach to security operations.
