We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, maintain, and support reliable on-premises infrastructure environments across compute, storage, and database platforms.

The role is suited for an infrastructure professional with strong hands-on experience in on-prem infrastructure engineering and an interest in modern infrastructure automation. You will contribute to maintaining stable, scalable, and efficient infrastructure while supporting automation initiatives using technologies such as Ansible and Terraform.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a practical approach to infrastructure operations, and the ability to learn and adopt modern automation and monitoring practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and support on-premises infrastructure across compute, storage, and database environments.
• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis to resolve recurring issues.
• Support server, storage, compute, and database infrastructure operations as required.
• Collaborate with application, database, network, security, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
• Perform infrastructure configuration, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle activities.
• Identify repetitive operational activities and develop opportunities for infrastructure automation.
• Work with Ansible and Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code practices and improve consistency across infrastructure environments.
• Support infrastructure monitoring and observability using tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana.
• Work with IT service-management processes and tools such as ServiceNow for incidents, requests, changes, and problem management.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, and technical standards.
• Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure optimisation, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support infrastructure changes, deployments, upgrades, and planned maintenance activities.
• Ensure infrastructure environments follow established security, availability, reliability, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with senior infrastructure engineers and technical teams on improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Continuously learn and adopt modern infrastructure engineering, automation, monitoring, and cloud-native practices.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, data-centre operations, or a closely related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure engineering.
• Practical experience working with one or more infrastructure domains, including compute, storage, or database infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of server infrastructure, system administration, infrastructure operations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting production infrastructure environments with a focus on availability, reliability, and performance.
• Exposure to infrastructure automation and a strong interest in expanding automation capabilities.
• Willingness and ability to learn and work hands-on with Ansible and Terraform.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts is an advantage.
• Experience with Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar monitoring and observability platforms is desirable.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and IT service-management processes is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with infrastructure, application, database, security, and operations teams.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage technical issues independently and drive them through resolution.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a structured enterprise infrastructure environment while adapting to evolving automation and technology requirements.
