We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP development and a strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions. Experience working with RISE with SAP and modern S/4HANA architectures will be highly important for this role.

The candidate should have strong technical expertise in ABAP development, a good understanding of SAP business processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain SAP applications and custom solutions using SAP ABAP.
• Develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Work extensively with SAP S/4HANA and develop solutions aligned with its architecture and development standards.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient SAP technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize custom objects while following SAP coding standards and best practices.
• Work with RISE with SAP environments and support SAP cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrations between SAP and external applications using appropriate technologies and interfaces.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Optimize existing ABAP programs and database-intensive processes for improved performance in S/4HANA environments.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand requirements and deliver technically sound solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Prepare technical specifications, development documentation, and other project-related deliverables.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, quality, performance, and maintainability standards.

Must-Have Skills

• 5-8 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP programming and development.
• Solid experience working with SAP S/4HANA.
• Practical understanding of RISE with SAP and SAP cloud transformation environments.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects, reports, interfaces, enhancements, BAPIs, RFCs, and forms.
• Experience with modern ABAP development practices and performance optimization.
• Good understanding of S/4HANA data models and HANA database concepts.
• Experience developing and supporting SAP integrations.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Good knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and production support processes.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and modern SAP development frameworks.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, OData, and REST APIs.
• Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
• Understanding of SAP Activate methodology and S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant SAP certifications will be an advantage.
