We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in ServiceNow and IT Service Management (ITSM) to design, develop, customise, and maintain enterprise service management solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience across the ServiceNow platform, with a strong understanding of ITSM processes and the ability to translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, architects, and technology teams to deliver reliable workflows, integrations, automation, and platform enhancements.

This role requires strong technical ownership, problem-solving skills, and a focus on building maintainable solutions aligned with ServiceNow development and ITSM best practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, customise, and maintain solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Translate business and ITSM requirements into scalable ServiceNow technical solutions.
• Develop and enhance workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, notifications, and related platform components.
• Work extensively across core ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Knowledge, and Configuration Management.
• Design and implement ServiceNow workflows and automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop integrations between ServiceNow and internal or third-party enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, APIs, and other integration technologies.
• Configure forms, tables, fields, workflows, notifications, reports, dashboards, and access controls.
• Analyse existing implementations and identify opportunities for performance, usability, automation, and maintainability improvements.
• Participate in requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow issues and perform root-cause analysis to implement sustainable solutions.
• Follow ServiceNow development standards, coding practices, security principles, and platform best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to development quality and governance.
• Collaborate with ITSM process owners, business analysts, architects, administrators, QA, and other technology teams.
• Support ServiceNow upgrades, enhancements, releases, and platform maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution specifications, development guidelines, and knowledge materials.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT service management processes and improve user experience.
• Stay current with ServiceNow capabilities, platform releases, ITSM practices, and emerging service-management technologies.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and enterprise platform implementation.
• Strong expertise in ServiceNow and ITSM with practical experience delivering enterprise solutions.
• Strong understanding of ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Knowledge, and Configuration Management.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting, including JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
• Strong experience developing ServiceNow workflows, automation, forms, notifications, reports, and dashboards.
• Experience developing and maintaining REST/SOAP integrations and APIs.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, tables, roles, ACLs, security, and platform architecture.
• Experience with ServiceNow customisation, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and production support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical and maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong experience collaborating with business stakeholders, ITSM teams, architects, QA, and engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and independently own technical deliverables.
• ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD) are an advantage.
