Manager, Compliance Training - Sydney, Australia
This role leads the organization's compliance training framework, with a strong focus on Financial Crime Compliance, including Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) obligations and Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) regulatory requirements. The position is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise-wide compliance training programs that support regulatory adherence, enhance risk awareness, and ensure alignment with organizational and global policy standards.
Working closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and business stakeholders, the role identifies training needs, develops engaging and effective learning content, and drives initiatives that foster a strong culture of compliance across the organization. The role also provides oversight of training governance, reporting, and performance measurement, continuously evaluating program effectiveness and implementing enhancements to strengthen compliance outcomes and meet evolving regulatory expectations.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, delivery, oversight, and continuous improvement of compliance training programs with a focus on financial crime compliance (including AML/CTF) and AFSL regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain compliance learning content, including e-learning modules, targeted role-based training, compliance awareness training, instructor-led training, and virtual learning sessions ensuring content reflects AML/CTF obligations, AFSL requirements, and broader compliance standards.
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and business SMEs to define training requirements, maintain content accuracy, and ensure training content reflects financial crime compliance obligations, including AML/CTF requirements, as well as organizational policies and regulatory expectations.
- Establish and maintain processes to track training completion, training records, learner engagement, and training effectiveness metrics.
- Build stakeholder relationships and drive engagement to support the adoption, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of compliance training programs.

Role Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Compliance Training, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and delivering training programs within regulated environments.
- Experience in Financial Crime Compliance, including AML/CTF obligations, and delivering compliance training to employees, agents, and third parties, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience); professional certification in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or related fields is preferred.
