Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to define, govern, and evolve the enterprise data architecture that supports analytics, reporting, operational intelligence, artificial intelligence, and emerging data-driven business capabilities. This role provides architectural leadership across Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Data Warehouses, Lakehouses, Azure Data Factory, Fabric Data Factory, SQL Server, and enterprise integration platforms. Our engineering organization has adopted Specification-Driven Development (SDD) as a core delivery discipline, and AI is a strategic priority.
Position Purpose
Define enterprise data architecture strategy, design scalable and governable platforms, establish standards and best practices, provide architectural leadership for Microsoft Fabric adoption, support modernization initiatives, and enable AI-ready data foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture roadmap.
- Establish target-state architectures for analytics, reporting, AI, and operational workloads.
- Lead Microsoft Fabric architecture and governance including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Fabric Data Factory, semantic models, and security.
- Define standards for dimensional modeling, Data Vault, fact and dimension design, and slowly changing dimensions.
- Establish ETL/ELT architecture standards across Azure Data Factory, Fabric Data Factory, SSIS, and Pentaho.
- Create governance frameworks for data quality, lineage, metadata, security, privacy, and compliance.
- Define AI-ready data architecture patterns and support AI, machine learning, and generative AI initiatives.
- Conduct architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and establish reference architectures.
- Promote Specification-Driven Development and architecture-first practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics.
- 3+ years in a senior architecture or technical leadership role.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and modernization initiatives.

Compensation:
$107,500.00 - $188,400.00 USDThis role is eligible for Bonus.Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
