Xcellink Group is a Singapore professional services firm providing IT-focused recruitment, staff augmentation and ICT operations management, from data centre and network operations to IT security, helpdesk, field services and applications support. Established in 1993, it reports over SGD 150 million of operations management services delivered in a decade for global companies, local enterprises and government-linked corporations, and runs low-code development through its related entity XOME. It recruits network and system engineers, SOC analysts, IT support staff, ServiceNow and low-code developers, SAP consultants and delivery managers, many placed at client sites.

Be part of our frontline cybersecurity and IT operations team as a SOC L1 Engineer / Team Lead, where you’ll play a key role in protecting and maintaining critical technology environments around the clock. If you're curious, analytical, and thrive when solving issues under pressure, this could be your next opportunity to grow in a SOC environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security events, network infrastructure, servers, applications, and system alerts using monitoring and security tools.
  • Perform first-level analysis, triage, and troubleshooting of security and infrastructure incidents.
  • Identify and investigate suspicious activities, alerts, connectivity issues, and system anomalies.
  • Respond to incidents according to established procedures, SLAs, and escalation matrices.
  • Escalate complex or high-severity incidents to L2/L3 teams, security teams, or relevant technical specialists.
  • Monitor and manage incidents in a 24/7 operational environment, including shift-based monitoring when required.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity, servers, applications, and infrastructure components.
  • Monitor dashboards, alerts, logs, and system events to identify potential service disruptions or security threats.
  • Maintain accurate incident records, investigation notes, escalation details, and operational documentation in ITSM systems.
  • Support incident management, service restoration, and follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, application, and vendor teams during incident resolution.
  • Perform routine health checks and operational monitoring to identify potential issues before they impact services.
  • Follow established security, operational, change management, and incident response procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring, incident handling, documentation, and operational processes.

Requirements

  • A minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in NOC, IT Operations, Service Desk, SOC, or related IT support functions.
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure, server environments, monitoring tools, and IT support processes.
  • Experience in 24/7 network or infrastructure monitoring, incident management, and first-level troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Dynatrace or ManageEngine is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Windows/Linux environments, and network troubleshooting is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes, incident management, and SLA-driven support environments.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays where required.
