UI/UX Design Lead

X-FLOWis a mobile game development company established in 2018. We gained recognition after the release of Happy Color, the most popular digital coloring book and one of the most successful ad-driven mobile apps in the world.

As a UI/UX Design Lead, you will gather and interpret user insights to craft engaging experiences across all of the company’s products. You’ll design functional, visually appealing features that enhance user experience and satisfaction, and lead our internal UI/UX team through the product development process. Working closely with your colleagues, you’ll deliver UI mockups, prototypes, and final features.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the internal UI/UX team: grow designers, raise the quality of their work, delegate effectively, run performance reviews, give regular feedback, and establish design standards;
• Take ownership of product UX: turn ambiguous product problems into clear user scenarios and propose solutions, rather than just translating ready-made concepts into UI;
• Own the design and delivery of mobile games or apps, covering every stage from initial exploration to final handoff;
• Drive UX research: frame research questions, draw on user feedback and focus group insights, and distinguish team opinions from real user problems;
• Work closely with feature owners, project managers, developers, game designers, and other team members to turn creative concepts into production-ready assets;
• Evolve and maintain the design system, ensuring UX/UI consistency across a large number of screens and features;
• Build clear processes for design review and developer handoff, and improve how design collaborates with product and other departments;
• Manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring consistent performance and strong attention to detail;
• Ensure the final design meets specs.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial interface design experience, including experience as a UI/UX Design Lead in game development;
• Proven experience mentoring designers, delegating, and giving constructive feedback;
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX (visual design, interaction, information architecture); ability to design mobile game interfaces from scratch;
• Experience building and maintaining a design system;
• Product mindset: ability to define the problem and the solution, not just execute a brief;
• Experience applying user research and feedback to design decisions;
• Proficiency in Figma and Photoshop (experience with Unity is a plus);
• Strong 2D art and illustration skills;
• Proficiency in creating clear and aesthetically pleasing icons;
• Strong knowledge of how to use animation and effects to enhance the user interface.
• Russian - C1/higher, English - B1.
