ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who is ambitious, undaunted by challenging tasks, and eager to grow to join our China Regional Engineering team. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to drive tailored solutions for our major partners in China through customized integration projects, localized product enhancements, and dedicated technical support to meet the unique needs of the local market.

Strong programming skills and a solid foundation in computer science are essential, along with experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, with deep expertise in middleware such as message queues, Elasticsearch, Redis, and MySQL. The ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams will be key to your success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and optimize technical solutions based on the needs of users in the China region, continuously improving service performance and stability.

• Participate in research and discussions related to products in the gaming payment domain, and drive their implementation and promotion.

• Game industry experience required
• On-site position only (remote work not available)

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 3 years of backend development experience.

• Strong programming skills and a solid foundation in computer science, with familiarity in data structures and design patterns.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go or PHP) and familiarity with relevant mainstream development frameworks.

• Experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, with a deep understanding of middleware technologies such as message queues, Elasticsearch (ES), Redis, and MySQL, including their principles and optimizations.

• Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.

• Strong problem-solving skills, clear logical thinking, and an ability to think critically, summarize, and synthesize information.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on cross-border or cross-cultural projects, particularly with Chinese partners or in the China market.

• Familiarity with the Chinese gaming industry ecosystem, including local payment channels, regulatory requirements, and player behavior.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Alibaba Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of gaming payment systems, virtual currency, and in-app purchase (IAP) workflows.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese to facilitate communication with regional partners.
