Job Description: Senior Software Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engineer with an exceptional command of backend tech to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of complex software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall system architecture.
- Write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Lead or contribute to project planning and estimation.
- Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for code, design, and architecture.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to the team.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and operations.
- Collaborate with other software engineers to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with substantial experience in backend and cloud infrastructure.
- Expert-level proficiency in designing and developing high-performance, concurrent applications with Java, Python, Ruby, Scala.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools, including unit testing and integration testing for backend applications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, collaborate effectively with teams, and mentor junior engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages, such as Golang, is a plus.
