Freelance - Data & AI Automation Consultant (Power BI & Business Intelligence)

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Data & AI Automation Consultant to design, implement, and optimize intelligent reporting and automation solutions that improve business performance, operational efficiency, and decision-making.

The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating data from multiple business systems, developing advanced Power BI reporting environments, automating data processing workflows, and leveraging AI technologies to generate actionable insights and intelligent business reporting.

This role combines expertise in Business Intelligence, Power BI, data integration, automation, and applied AI solutions to help the organization reduce manual reporting efforts, improve data visibility, and drive data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reporting environments.

• Build executive dashboards and KPI frameworks aligned with business objectives.

• Develop and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and reporting structures.

• Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and scalability.

• Deliver actionable insights to management teams and key stakeholders.

Data Integration & Data Management

• Connect, consolidate, and transform data from multiple sources including CRM, ERP, finance, operations, customer service, and external platforms.

• Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and reporting processes.

• Improve data quality, governance, and reporting reliability.

• Support the creation of centralized reporting environments and data repositories.

Automation & Process Optimization

• Identify repetitive manual reporting and operational tasks suitable for automation.

• Develop automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform and other automation technologies.

• Implement automated reporting distribution and notification systems.

• Improve operational efficiency through workflow redesign and process optimization.

AI Solutions & Intelligent Reporting

• Research, evaluate, and implement AI-powered solutions that enhance productivity and reporting capabilities.

• Integrate AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, ChatGPT APIs, or AI agents into business processes.

• Develop intelligent reporting solutions capable of generating automated business summaries, trend analysis, and performance commentary.

• Support the adoption of AI tools across departments.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Gather reporting, analytics, and automation requirements from business stakeholders.

• Translate business challenges into technical solutions.

• Present insights, dashboards, and recommendations to management teams.

• Provide training and support to end users.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Stay current with emerging technologies in Business Intelligence, AI, automation, and analytics.

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and business processes.

• Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (Bac+3 to Bac+5) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Power BI Development, Data Automation, or Data Consulting roles.

• Proven experience building enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.

• Experience integrating data from multiple business systems and databases.

• Experience implementing automation solutions and process improvements.

• Exposure to AI-powered business solutions is highly desirable.
