JOB DESCRIPTION – FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (L1 / L2)

Department: Field Service Operations (FSO)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Islandwide, Sri Lanka

Reporting To: Field Service Operations Manager / Technical Lead

Job Overview

ZiTech Solutions is looking for skilled and motivated Field Service Engineers (L1/L2) to provide on-site and remote IT support to corporate clients. The role involves hardware, software, Windows operating systems, networking and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops and IT peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve Windows 10/11 operating system issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, drivers, BSOD and system performance issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers and switches.
• Support TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and basic network administration.
• Provide basic Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 support.
• Perform on-site client visits, preventive maintenance and technical support.
• Assist with CCTV, IP cameras and other IT infrastructure.
• Maintain service reports and ensure SLA compliance.

Educational Qualifications

• Degree, HND or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
• CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA A+, Network+ or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
• Additional qualifications in English Language or Communication will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• L1 Engineer: 0–2 years of relevant IT support experience.
• L2 Engineer: 2–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking and troubleshooting.
• Fresh graduates with strong practical technical knowledge are encouraged to apply for L1 positions.

Required Skills

• Strong Windows operating system troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Problem-solving ability and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel for islandwide client assignments.
