Email Operations Manager (Gmail / Google Workspace)

ZoomInfo uses Gmail through Google Workspace for email. In this role, you’ll help maintain the infrastructure that keeps our enterprise email delivery fast, trusted, and secure. As part of the Email Marketing Operations team, you’ll work with Gmail and Google Workspace administration in coordination with the teams that own the broader Workspace environment. You’ll also own key email-delivery infrastructure, including sending domains, authentication, and mail routing.

What You'll Do

• You will support email operations in our Gmail / Google Workspace environment, including relevant mail-routing, authentication, and integration workflows, in partnership with the teams responsible for Workspace ownership.

• You will configure and maintain enterprise email infrastructure, including sending domains, mail routing, relays, IPs, and vendor integrations.
• You will own sender authority and authentication controls, managing SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and related sender domain rights, and will document and apply standards that future-proof our setup against issues.
• You will partner with internal deliverability specialists to monitor delivery and reputation signals, investigate authentication, integration, and routing failures, and lead root cause analysis and remediation.
• You will partner with Security, IT, and DevOps to support new mail stream setups, integrations, migrations, and operational controls related to email delivery.
• You will collaborate with specialists to improve monitoring, analysis, and reporting of throughput and bounces, applying meaningful classification and building repeatable workflows through automation and sound change management.
• You will prioritize incoming email-infrastructure requests, balancing the sending needs of the business with technical risk and long-term reliability.
• You will coordinate technical changes across multiple teams, using tools like Jira and Slack to document decisions and keep stakeholders aligned.

What You Bring

Must-Have:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on email experience, with ownership of email infrastructure.

• 2+ years of experience administering Google Workspace at an administrative level, including familiarity with Gmail operations and email-related settings. This role operates within the appropriate administrative privileges but does not own the overall Google Workspace environment.

• Proven experience working with managed DNS, email authentication, SMTP, mail flow, reputation management, bounce handling, and deliverability troubleshooting.
• Ability to explain technical risk clearly, prioritize competing requests, and build reliable documentation and processes.

Preferred:

• Experience building integrations using API and endpoint technology.
• Experience applying AI tools or building AI agents to speed up large-scale data analysis, automate routine work, or improve operational quality.
• Experience operating within a large enterprise or publicly traded company.
• Professional Google Workspace Admin Certification.
• Recent experience as a Proofpoint administrator.
• Comfort working in Snowflake, BigQuery, or equivalent data platforms.

Below is the US base salary for this position. Additional compensation such as Bonus, Commission, Equity and other benefits may also apply.

$77,630—$121,990 USD
