Overview
Academy District 20 is a public school district in Colorado Springs, Colorado, serving the northern part of the city and the Air Force Academy area with elementary, middle and high schools and specialty programs. Founded in 1957, it is one of the largest districts in the Pikes Peak region, with almost 40 schools and about 26,000 students, and it has been Accredited with Distinction by the state of Colorado every year since that rating began. It hires classroom and special education teachers, special education and instructional paraprofessionals, athletic coaches, custodians, crossing guards, vehicle mechanics, HR technicians and application developers.
