Overview
AVEVA is a British industrial software company whose origins lie in a 1967 government computer-aided design research centre in Cambridge, and which now supplies the engineering and operations software heavy industry runs on. Its products cover plant design and simulation, asset performance management, manufacturing execution and the PI System, the historian that stores time-series data from industrial equipment across most large process plants in the world. Headquartered in Cambridge and wholly owned by Schneider Electric since 2023, it sells mainly to oil and gas, chemicals, power, mining, marine and infrastructure operators.
