Overview
Boom Supersonic is an aerospace company headquartered in Centennial, near Denver, Colorado, developing Overture, a supersonic airliner, and Symphony, a turbofan engine purpose-built for supersonic flight. Founded in 2014 by Blake Scholl, it flew its XB-1 demonstrator supersonically in January 2025, holds Overture orders from United Airlines, American Airlines and Japan Airlines, and is building Superpower, a 42-megawatt natural gas turbine for AI data centers. It hires turbomachinery, materials, manufacturing, electrical and software engineers, additive manufacturing and R&D technicians, machine shop supervisors, supply chain staff and interns.
