Overview

Browserbase runs headless web browsers in the cloud for developers who build AI agents, web automations and scrapers, so that they do not have to host and scale browser fleets themselves. Its platform hosts, manages and monitors browser sessions with consumption pricing, and the company also maintains Stagehand, an open-source AI web automation SDK, and Director, a tool that lets non-developers build automations from natural-language requests. The San Francisco company was founded by Paul Klein IV in 2024 and raised $67.5 million by its $40 million Series B led by Notable Capital in 2025.
