Overview
LaPrairie Group is a Canadian family-owned group of heavy industry companies providing mobile crane rental and engineered heavy lifts, heavy and oilfield hauling, highway and bridge maintenance, and aggregate, concrete and frac sand mining and supply. Founded in 1982 as a one-crane, two-man operation in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, it now employs more than 600 people and serves Canada and the northeastern US through subsidiaries including LaPrairie Crane, LaPrairie Works, Capstan Hauling, ENTREC and Canadian Silica Industries. It hires crane, excavator and mine haul truck operators, Class 1 and CDL drivers, heavy-duty mechanics, dispatchers and accountants in Alberta and Buffalo.
