Overview
Lightning Labs is a bitcoin infrastructure company headquartered in San Francisco, California, and founded in 2016. The company maintains lnd, the most widely deployed implementation of the Lightning Network, a payment layer that settles bitcoin transactions off chain for speed and low fees. It also builds Taproot Assets for issuing tokens on bitcoin and sells developer tooling and node services to exchanges, wallets, and payment companies.
