Overview
Muon Space is an American company founded in 2021 that designs, builds and operates satellite constellations as a service for customers who need specific Earth measurements but do not want to become space companies. Rather than selling spacecraft or generic imagery it takes on the whole mission, choosing sensors, building the satellites, launching and operating them and delivering the resulting data, for customers in climate science, defence and wildfire detection. Headquartered in Mountain View and backed by venture investors, it also operates the FireSat constellation developed with Google and the Earth Fire Alliance.
