Overview
Orano is a French nuclear fuel cycle group headquartered in Chatillon near Paris, working from uranium mining through conversion, enrichment, used fuel recycling, nuclear packaging and transport, dismantling and engineering. Created in 2018 from the restructuring of Areva, it runs major industrial sites at Tricastin near Pierrelatte and La Hague near Cherbourg, mines uranium in Canada and Niger, and has a Namibian operation in Swakopmund. It hires production, maintenance, radiation protection and utilities technicians, project managers, engineers, data scientists, IT staff and interns.
